2M Level I Machinist / Warehouse Associate - Dalhart, TX

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and machinery
Pull parts for orders following S.O.P. (Standard Operating Procedures)
Learn procedures on how to build all pumps
Assist in building pumps when necessary
Use forklift/pallet jacks to move materials, parts, finished product or load/unload trucks
Conduct preventive maintenance before operating machinery
Lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the workday
Stand and work for extended periods of time during work hours
Machine parts to specifications according to work orders, keeping within branch Q.C. requirements
Responsible for maintaining and using precision measuring tools in accordance to shop requirements
Interact with customers with a professional attitude
Use table saw/skill saw to crate finished product for shipping purposes
Perform other related duties as needed

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Abilities

Good reading and writing skills
Ability to conduct job duties with minimal supervision
Able to read, understand, and calculate fractional dimensions (i.e. add/subtract fractions, fraction to decimal conversions)
Ability to operate forklift/pallet jack within safety guidelines
Able to communicate and work well with others
Ability to operate horizontal engine lathe and vertical mill accurately and safely
Ability to use various different hand and power tools
Ability to consistently produce quality work on a daily basis
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to moderately complex issues
Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

The Role

Position Overview

This position is responsible for implementing sales initiatives and strategies for an assigned group of customers or market category. This role drives demand for company products and services by providing broad support to customers that include professional-level assistance with purchases, information, and training on product offerings and functionality. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the water well industry, specifically in the water treatment business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides professional-level support to customers on product information related to functionality, performance, and price
Collects information and feedback from the customer related to requirements, concerns and/or complaints
As applicable, manages the order process in a professional manner
Recommends product and service that effectively meet customer needs
Assists customers and other sales professionals with pricing requests
Provides accurate information for documenting customer orders
Accurately processes payments for purchases
Processes returns to include completing appropriate paperwork, exchanging merchandise and generating credit receipts as needed
Greets incoming customers in a professional and timely manner.
Answers incoming sales calls via telephone, email inquiries, and facsimile requests
Understands and supports established sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to customers
Pulls orders, moves inventory and receives orders from vendors; including loading and off-loading inventory
Hot Shots orders to customers, in company vehicle, to ensure customer service levels are consistently achieved
Maintains a neat and orderly work area
Processes credit card sales and all other sales through verifying and posting sales orders.
Process daily invoicing for office.
Prepares deposits and makes them as necessary.
Orders and stocks supplies for the office and shop as necessary.
Performs other related duties as needed
